We believe that every church member should understand his/her conversion and understand the directions and goals that God has placed on the heart of the Pastor, to lead the members of this local assembly of the body of Christ. The goal and/or aim of this
church is to equip and empower the saints for the work of the ministry
and for the edifying of the body of Christ until all the saints are
unified in the knowledge of the Son of God (Ephesians 4:12-13).
Then we shall no longer be children, carried by the waves and
blown about by every shifting wind of the teaching of deceitful men, who
lead others into error by the tricks they invent.
Instead, by speaking the truth in a spirit of love, we must grow
up in every way to Christ, who is the head.
Under His control all the different parts of the body fit
together, and the whole body is held together, by every joint with which
it is provided. So when
each separate part works as it should, the whole body grows and builds
itself up through love. (Ephesians 4:14-16, GNB) So
then, as we are instructed, let us come near to God with a sincere
heart and a sure faith, with hearts that have been purified from a
guilty conscience and with bodies washed with clean water.
Let us hold on firmly to the hope we profess, because we can
trust God to keep His promise. Let us be concerned for one another, to
help one another to show love and to do good.
Let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are
doing. Instead, let us
encourage one another all the more, since you see that the Day of the
Lord is coming nearer. (Hebrews
10:22-25, GNB) So
then, let us rid ourselves of everything that gets in the way, and of
the sin which holds on to us so tightly, and let us run with
determination the race that lies before us. (Hebrews 12:2, GNB)
Finally we must always strive to fulfill the Great Commission,
which is to share the gospel and make disciples worldwide. (Matthew
28:18-20, Acts 1:6-8)
